Rumours were rife that Aishwarya Rai will dance to the tunes of hit number "Apni toh jaise taise", which was originally picturised on her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, in Sajid Khan's "Houseful". But sources close to her say that she is yet to accept the offer."Aishwarya Rai has been approached by Sajid Khan but she has yet to revert back to them. She is busy with the shooting of 'Guzaarish', 'Action Replay' and 'Endhiran'," Aishwarya Rai's spokesperson told IANS.
Recent media reports suggested that Sajid Nadiadwala had bought the rights of the song, which is from the 1981 blockbuster "Laawaris" and that he had approached Aishwarya Rai for it.
If at all the actress agrees to do the item number, it would be her third in over a decade-long career. In the past, she featured in item numbers like "Ishq kamina" and "Kajra re" - both the songs have been iconic in their own sense.
While in "Ishq kamina", she teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan, "Kajra re" saw her with Amitabh and Abhishek.
Meanwhile, according to a report in a Mumbai daily, Sushmita Sen has been finalised for this number, which will be choreographed by Sajis’s sister Farah Khan and will appear just before the film’s climax.
Along with Sushmita, the song will feature Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal and Riteish Deshmukh . Aki Narula will be designing Sushmita's sexy look in it.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may have chosen to take it easy post her marriage, but a recent development in her career has made all those speechless who feel that the beautiful actress’ career is no longer on an upswing.
She has broken the record of Kareena Kapoor with her whopping ten crores contract for her latest film. Earlier, this honor was with Kareena Kapoor with a figure of seven crores.
The film is to be produced Bobby Pushkarna, of the critically acclaimed film ‘Page 3′. Pushkarna was keen on cast Ash only and was determined to shelve the project if the lady did not give an affirmative nod. Finally, after a three-month long chase, Pushkarna was able to persuade her to do his film.
The deal has not yet been finalized in pen and paper but both the parties seem positive.

It will be used as a promotional track for the film and will feature Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Ritesh Deshmukh and Ash in the video. Sajid Khan is the director of the film.
According to sources, the director and the producer loved the idea of using the song and bought its rights. They are now in talks with Aishwarya and everything should get ready within a few days.
While Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed the news, Sajid Khan didn’t want to either confirm or deny it and stated that an official announcement would be made soon.
Mumbai: On Monday, a shoot involving Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan was supposed to take at a suburban mall. The entire mall was to be cordoned off for the entire day. That would have brought business to a standstill and resulted in a huge loss for the shop owners. But Aishwarya stepped in and saved the day for the shop owners. She asked her producer to cordon off only the area where the shoot was taking place and let business run in the other sections of the mall.
Aishwarya was shooting for Vipul Shah’s Action Replay and she was doing the portions in which she had to sport an old lady’s get-up. Vipul was extra cautious about not revealing her look. So his production team told him to book the mall for the entire day.
A source says, “On Ash’s insistence, the makers cordoned off only a certain portion of the mall. But when word spread that Ash was in the mall, people in huge numbers wanted to get a glimpse of her.
Vipul and Ash pleaded to the people to let them shoot. Ash promised the people that she would catch up with them post the shoot and she did it by posing for around 250 pictures with fans. In between shots, Ash herself took the onus of covering her face fully thereby not revealing her look.”
Vipul says, “We wanted to hide her look and that’s why we were discreet. It’s a big-budget film. To protect the look I will have to take adequate precautions so that it doesn’t get photographed and is leaked out. Ash was very warm with the people after pack up and she clicked many photographs with them.”Speaking of real life couples that compliment each other what comes to mind is the sure shot magnificent and charming couple of bollywoods Abhishek Bachchan and his better half Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
