Buzz is that Sanjay Dutt wants to rope in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the lead opposite him in Satte Pe Satta remake.
If all goes well, Aishwarya Rai will play Sanjay's wife in the film. "We don't know how the rumour started that Vidya Balan had been signed to play Sanju's wife in
Satte Pe Satta. Nobody even approached her. Dutt is extremely keen that we sign Aishwarya to play the female lead opposite him. He is adamant that only Ash fits the role. The actress is keen on the idea of doing the film if everything else works out," a source told Mid Day.
Aishwarya"The script writer along with the director of Satta Pe Satta, Soham Shah, will fly down to New Zealand next week to give her a story narration. Ash is holidaying there with husband Abhishek, who is shooting in Wellington for Abbas-Mastan's Players, along with Sonam Kapoor," the source added.
Aishwarya had earlier worked with Sanjay in David Dhawan's Hum Kisise Kum Nahin and Leena Bajaj's Shabd.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has always maintained a respectable relationship with megastar Amitabh Bachchan but the same cannot be said with ‘Bachchan bahu’ Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The face-off started when Ash abandoned Aamir Khan’s project Mangal Pandey at the last minute. Then Aamir called up his good friend Rani Mukherjee, who finally appeared in the film.
Usually, Ash does not stay in any party for more than 10 minutes but when she came to know that Aamir and Kiran Rao are on their way, the beauty queen waited for them to reach the party. When the couple reached the party, Ash went forward and bonded with the actor like never before. They spoke warmly and discussed about Kiran’s upcoming movie Dhobi Ghat. After spending some time together, Aamir had to leave early. Soon after his exit, Ash also left the party.
A source from the party revealed that both were seen very comfortable with each other and it seemed that they have forgotten the bitter past and planned to move ahead with good will of each other.
Now, when the dup has settled their issues, can we expect any joint project in near future?
Aishwarya to work with Vishal after 14 years
The filmmaker, who has been chasing Aishwarya for 14 years to do his project, is still persistently trying to coax the actress to work with him in his new, even though she has turned down a couple of his projects due to non-availability of dates.
It’s learnt that recently Vishal had gone to the Bachchan’s abode, Janak to have few rounds of discussions with Aishwarya for his new project and hence, finalize the deal.
Speaking on this, sources close to the filmmaker stated, “Vishal was indeed there to meet with Ash. It went on for an hour at least where they discussed and dissected the offers that he had for her. As of now things are very hush hush."
With a clutch of new projects in his hand, apart from this film, Vishal is also keen on roping in Aishwarya for one more project. Buzz has it that the filmmaker has made plans to cast her in a film with Hrithik Roshan.
Has Aish agreed to do the film is still unknown, but it looks like Vishal is leaving no opportunity to attract the actress.

The couple felicitated individuals who are leading a positive and purposeful life despite being afflicted with a serious disease or disability. A cultural show by children entertained the guests. Aishwarya and Abhishek were appreciative of Dr Batra's initiative. "It celebrated the triumph of the human spirit the way I look at it and it celebrates life. We are very very thankful to be here this evening but at the end of the day we feel very very fulfilled, inspired and humbled and blessed," Aishwarya said after the event. Both actors firmly told media that any talk about their careers was off limits at the event as they were not there to promote a film but just to spend an evening with the awardees and the performers of the evening and celebrate the cause. Aishwarya said she and her husband like to keep their philanthropic efforts private as they do not do it for publicity.
